TrainingQuality training produces quality netball! Training is at the team coach’s discretion but the WJNC committee encourages all teams to train, especially in the younger age groups where skills are being developed.
Training is held at the Williamstown High School gym on the corner of Pasco Street and Melbourne Road. Training is either on a Monday or Friday afternoon between 3.45 and 6.00pm. Each team trains once a week for 45 minutes. Coaches or team managers will phone parents/players if training has to be cancelled. As a general rule there is no training on school and public holidays unless the coach indicates otherwise. Players are expected to attend the training sessions and to contact their coach if they are unavailable to train or play that week. If a player is training or trying out the sport with out an official Netball Victoria Membership, (which covers players for personal accident insurance), a waiver of liability form will need to be signed and given to the coach. Please speak to your coach if you are uncertain. Waiver of Liability Form Accidents or InjuriesTo report an accident or injury of a Club player, please provide the following information. Once completed, this form should be submitted to a Committee member irrespective of whether a claim for insurance will be made. Refer to the instructions on the back of this form regarding the process for claiming for insurance.
